Colds:
To alleviate cold symptoms, you can create a mixture by combining a gram of cinnamon (dalchini) powder with a teaspoon of honey. Consume this mixture twice a day. Additionally, prepare a cup of tea with ginger, clove, bay leaf, and black pepper. Drink this tea twice a day, gradually reducing the intake as the cold symptoms subside.
Ginger for Colds:
Ginger tea is an effective remedy for colds. To prepare the tea, cut ginger into small pieces and boil it in water. Repeat the boiling process a few times, then add sugar to sweeten and milk to taste. Consume the tea while it is hot.
Dry Coughs:
For relief from dry coughs, mix a gram of turmeric (haldi) powder with a teaspoon of honey. Additionally, chewing on a cardamom pod for an extended period can be helpful.
Blocked Nose:
To clear a blocked nose or relieve congestion, take a tablespoon of crushed carom seeds (ajwain), wrap them in a cloth, and inhale the aroma.
Sore Throat:
For relief
from a sore throat, add a teaspoon of cumin seeds (jeera) and a few small
pieces of dried ginger to a glass of boiling water. Simmer the mixture for a
few minutes, then let it cool. Drink this concoction twice a day to alleviate
cold and sore throat symptoms.
Ajwain/Ajmo for Asthma:
Boil ajwain in water and inhale the steam to help alleviate asthma symptoms.
Cure for Backache:
Massage the affected area with ginger paste to find relief from backache.
Garlic for High Blood Pressure:
Consume 1-2 cloves of garlic (lasan) with water in the morning on an empty stomach to help manage high blood pressure.
Honey and Ginger for High Blood Pressure:
Mix 1
tablespoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of ginger (adrak) juice, and 1 tablespoon of
crushed cumin seeds (jeera). Consume this mixture twice daily to assist in
managing high blood pressure.
Migraine:
To alleviate migraine or acute cold in the head, boil a tablespoon of pepper powder and a pinch of turmeric in a cup of milk. Consume this mixture daily for a few days to find relief.
Bitter Gourd/Karela is Good:
For reducing blood sugar levels, mix a tablespoon of amla juice with a cup of fresh bitter gourd (karela) juice and consume it daily for two months.
Turmeric/Arad Cure for Injuries:
To stop bleeding and prevent infection in cuts or wounds, apply turmeric powder to the affected area. You can also apply a bandage after applying turmeric.
Cramps:
Perform a self-massage using mustard oil every morning. Rub a small amount of oil between your palms and massage it all over your body, followed by a shower. This is especially beneficial during winter. Alternatively, you can make a paste by mixing mustard powder with water and apply it to your palms and soles of your feet.
Headaches:
For chronic migraines, include five almonds in your daily diet along with hot milk. You can also consume a gram of black pepper with honey or milk two to three times a day. Applying a paste of wet almonds on the forehead can also provide relief.
Eating an
apple with a little salt on an empty stomach every day can have wonderful
effects in relieving headaches. In cases where headaches are caused by cold
winds, making a paste of cinnamon mixed with water and applying it to the
forehead can be effective.
Turmeric
for Arthritis:
Turmeric is effective in treating arthritis due to its anti-inflammatory properties. It can be consumed as a drink or used as a paste for localized relief. Add one teaspoon of turmeric powder to a cup of warm milk and consume it daily.
Good for the Heart:
Turmeric helps lower cholesterol levels and prevents the formation of blood clots, thereby improving circulation and reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke. It can be consumed as a drink by adding one teaspoon of turmeric powder to a cup of warm milk on a daily basis.
Good for Indigestion:
Turmeric is beneficial in relieving digestive issues such as ulcers and dysentery. It can be consumed as a drink by adding one teaspoon of turmeric powder to a cup of warm milk every day.
Honey and Cinnamon for All Diseases:
Mix one teaspoon of honey with a half teaspoon of cinnamon powder and consume it before bed. This combination is believed to have curative properties for various ailments.
Hiccups:
To relieve hiccups, take a warm slice of lemon and sprinkle it with salt, sugar, and black pepper. Continue eating the lemon until the hiccups stop.
High Blood Cholesterol:
Boil 2 tablespoons of coriander/dhania seeds in a glass of water. Let the decoction cool, strain it, and drink it twice a day.
Sunflower seeds are also beneficial as they contain linoleic acid, which helps reduce cholesterol deposits on artery walls.
Piles:
Drink radish juice twice a day, in the morning and at night. Start with half a cup and gradually increase it to a full cup.
Alternatively, soak 3-4 figs in a glass of water overnight and consume them on an empty stomach the next morning.
Vomiting:
Roast 2 cardamom pods on a dry pan, powder them, and mix with a teaspoon of honey. Consume this mixture frequently as a home remedy for vomiting.
Another option is to mix 1 teaspoon of mint juice, 1 teaspoon of lime juice, a half teaspoon of ginger juice, and 1 teaspoon of honey. Drink this mixture to prevent vomiting.
You can also try drinking chilled lime juice slowly or ginger tea to prevent vomiting. Adding honey to a glass of water and sipping it slowly can also be helpful.
Warts:
Apply castor oil daily to the affected area for several months.
Alternatively, apply the milky juice of fresh and barely-ripe figs multiple times a day for two weeks. Rubbing cut raw potatoes on the warts several times daily for at least two weeks can also be effective.
Rubbing cut onions on the warts or applying milk from the cut end of dandelion 2-3 times a day can provide relief. You can also try applying oil extracted from the shell of cashew nuts or juices of papaya or pineapple to the warts.
Urinary Tract Infection:
Mix a half
teaspoon of baking soda in 8 ounces of water and drink it to help alleviate
urinary tract infections.
Drinking plenty of water is also recommended as it helps flush out waste products from the body. Consuming cranberry juice can be beneficial, and you may add some apple juice for taste.
Sinusitis:
Include
mango in your diet as it is rich in vitamin A, which can help prevent frequent
sinus attacks.
Consuming
pungent foods like onions and garlic as part of your daily meals can also be
beneficial for sinusitis.
Boil 1
teaspoon of fenugreek seeds in 250 ml of water until it reduces by half. This
solution can help induce sweating, eliminate toxins, and reduce the duration of
fever in sinusitis.
Inhaling the aroma of black cumin seeds tied in a thin cotton cloth can also provide relief for sinusitis.
Tonsillitis:
Squeeze the
juice of a fresh lemon into a glass of water. Add 4 teaspoons of honey and a
pinch of salt. Drink this mixture slowly, sip by sip, for relief from
tonsillitis.
Drinking a
glass of boiled milk with a pinch of turmeric powder and pepper powder every
night for three days can also be beneficial for tonsillitis.
